As a qualified UK teacher with extensive experience as a private tutor for children aged 3-11, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), I have spent years observing the dynamics between nannies and the families they serve. I have also worked as a private nanny in wealthy households, which has given me firsthand insight into the frustrations that arise on both sides—nannies often feel overwhelmed, undertrained, and unprepared for the high expectations placed upon them, while employers struggle with caregivers who lack the professional skills to meet their household's needs.

Too often, I have seen nannies simply ‘doing the job’ without any real aspiration to grow in their profession, not because they don’t care, but because they have never been equipped with the knowledge to excel. At the same time, families expect their nannies to be polished, professional, and highly competent—yet many of them hire individuals with no prior childcare training, expecting them to instinctively understand how to care for and educate their children at an elite level. The result? A cycle of misunderstanding, frustration, and subpar childcare.

Having trained in Level 4 Maternity Nursing, Level 4 Sleep Training, and Level  3 Multiple and Premature Births, I understand what it truly takes to provide high-quality childcare in a demanding household. I have been behind the scenes in prestigious homes, and I know the difference that a trained, skilled, and polished nanny can make in the lives of both the children they care for and the families they serve.
